Realistic, Simple & Effective Ways to Glam up for this summer

With the temperature dropping lower each
day, we still have to look, feel, and be at our best. That includes our
physical and mental fitness. 2020 was a bit hard on all of us as we were
confined to our homes. For 2021, everyone has higher expectations as we prepare
for the best year and want to make the most of it. That said, many of us want
to lose those extra pounds that they gained during the lockdowns where binge
eating had become the new norm. Many of the diets and exercise routines offered
online are unrealistic and also incredibly bad. Read on to learn more about our
realistic, simple, yet effective take to lose weight this summer.

Don’t eat less – Rather eat Right!

Yes, you read this one right! You don’t
have to go on extreme diets for shedding those extra pounds that you gained
during the lockdown. The approach of less food intake and loads of cardio is
utterly wrong. You must aim to eat right, including three primary meals,
minimum of eight glasses of water, and three snacks. Your focus should be on
eating the right type and amount of food to help you flush out toxins and boost
your energy level.

Get Enough Sleep

The majority of us take sleep for granted.
Much of the body repair is done during sleep. Therefore, it is essential to get
quality sleep, at least 7 hours. As women, we need more sleep than men. Your
quality of sleep also impacts the quality of your life. With a regular sleep
pattern, you will also establish a healthy eating, drinking, and exercising
pattern. Getting into a healthy routine should be your top priority. Remember
to leave your mobile phone on the side table when you are ready to hit your
beauty sleep. Getting into a 7 hours’ sleep routine will also save you from
falling into the pits of binge eating. Late-night eating can be more disastrous
for your health and body than you can imagine.

Combine Strength with Cardio

We agree that cardio is essential for
weight loss, but it should be combined with strength workout sessions. Your
body will burn off more calories during the strengthening and build-up muscles
process. When you combine strength with cardio, your metabolism rate will also
increase, which will help you shed those extra pounds. We understand that women
don’t like strength exercises out of fear that they will get bulky. However,
you won’t have to worry that women’s muscles are naturally smaller and
different from men’s. Combining strength with cardio will help you tone your body
while losing extra fats. And soon, you will be happy enough to
buy short sleeve tops
and glam up your wardrobe for the coming summer.

Water – Drink it up!

Water is your new friend. Therefore, make
sure to drink it first thing in the morning after you wake up. If you find it
hard, you can always squeeze in half of the lemon before drinking it up. That
said, your aim should be to have at least 7 to 8 glasses of water every day.
Don’t forget that our bodies are made up of 70% of water. It will increase your
metabolism, flush out all toxins, and keep your skin fresh and hydrated.
